First gun for diving around Maui reefs.

There is a useful table giving guidance on speargun lengths at sumora, official distributors of Rabitech and Rob Allen. It is well worth finding out what the experienced local spearos use & recommend for the locations you dive though. Omer Cayman, Beuchat Mundial are well known & liked brands & models. I seem to recall Rob Allen railguns fitted with open muzzles being popular in Hawaii but perhaps that is more for blue water than reefs? Omer Alien is a good mask, that's what I use. Get long spearo fins (they are usually softer than free diving fins to allow better surface finning), the cost varies a lot. Omer Ice are nice mid-range fins that are clear & so camo. Cressi Gara 3000LD were v. popular before the Ice came out. I think Picasso make a popular model (Team?), Dessault, C4,..... Seacsub & Beuchat spearo fins are good and much less expensive than Omer (in the UK).

Beuchat is nice but when in Rome... Hammerhead or Aimrite would be your best bet since they are both in Hawaii. I would definitely get atleast a 110 for your fist gun with those clear waters.

Re. the Omer Alien mask, how about Magpie's blue camo model with tinted lens -- ideal for Hawaii I would have thought:
