How many times you going to ask this question
- I can't speak for the sea hornet - But I know you'd be happy with the HammerHead. Just my 2 cents.

get a rob allen or an aimrite, or maybe a rabitech. they have been around longer than hammerhead and are proven brands. sea hornets are not freediving guns. a 100cm gun is only good in 10-15' viz, if you dive in anything clearer you will need a bigger gun.

Dude if you are going to scuba go for the sea hornet, It's been said that those guns are more suited for those kinds of hunts. Only consider the HH or the AIMRITE or RA if you free dive. IMO i would go with RA or RABI ! if you want a complete gun go with the HH evolution with 7.5mm shaft. you wont need to change anything on it ie: muzzle bands w.e! it comes ready for action & i do trust them as far as manufacturing goes.

The next gun I buy might be a HH. My main complaint about euros is that the shafts are too thin and easily bent and that if you break the band, you're done. HH seems to solve both of these problems by coming with a thicker shaft and multiple bands, so the gun is ready to go out of the box. I haven't shot one yet, but I have heard nothing but good reports and they look well made.

The Spears are very strong too- I put it through the test 2 weeks ago. I had some carp thrashing around and the spear was very sound. I told my friend (TASS) the HammerHead is the PERFECT Speargun.

The durability of a 6mm - 7mm shaft will increase as it gets shorter. The shafts for the 75's are going to be fairly tough. The two bads on the H.H. are, 17mm I think. Not a bad size. I'm not fond of multiple bands if I don't have to use them, dunno why. I have the parts to re-rig my gun if something breaks. I can also switch off to a sling and soon a pole-spear. I'm going to try Ray Odor's pole spear. I've paid for it, just gotta pick it up in two days.
Not much to go wrong with these guns really. If you check it out before you leave. Other than a bent shaft of course. Just my opinion of course. I still say, if you like the look and feel of the gun, it's a great gun. Whatever your comfortable with is going to work the best.
