Make sure the rubber is the right size for the gun and don't dry load it, it's dangerous and difficult. being in the water is so much easier for loading.

If the shaft is single notch, you also could try one with a double notch.

The double notch can be used for a second band but at least for me they are a great aid to loading the gun since you can perform the loading procedure in two steps. But since your shaft has already a the second notch that is not the case.
That is why blue water guns normally have a several shark fins, so the diver can rest the bands, also divers like Shery Dale install a hook on the side of the gun to also help them on the loading.

nah salmon are good eating, fillet them and then just fry them on the pan or bbq after putting in flower, they are pretty good I recon. Not sure about the bream. The salmon have a few big bones that come out pretty easy once cooked.

place a mouse pad under your shirt on your chest. it should take some of the pain away.

Either that or a thong, or sandal. what ever you call them. A few more loads though and you'll be tough as nails. You'll always have some red marks if your wetsuit doesn't have a pad but you'll gradually get used to it after a few more times. I have no problem loading my 1m RA Caranx which has a 20m band with only a t-shirt on now.
