Cressi Gara 3000 LD - size

Hi - I use sporasub footpockets with 44-46 footpockets and these work well with 3mm socks.

What size do you think would be a better fit with 3mm socks for the gara 3000 LD ?

They have 44-45 or 46-47.

Cheers if you have tried them and can let me know

Ed

Go for the big ones Ed Ive found the Cressi's to be a bit on the small side but its cheaper to put on a thicker sock than replace the fins

Re: Cressi Gara 3000 LD - size

Cheers Naim - I initially thought that the 46-47 would be a good one to go for and tweak 'em with 5mm socks if needed

In fact not such a bad idea as the water gets pretty chilly here for most of the time so fivemils could be the place to be...

Anyone else with any experience ?

Ed

Re: Cressi Gara 3000 LD - size

i am using 3mm socks both in winter and summer. I don't think its makes much difference since you have full suit etc...but again the coldest water here was 13degree celcius this year.

i am using my gara 3000s 44-45 sith 3mm socks + 2 wooly socks and its still fine. Cressi footpockets are flexible and soft so i think will not bother you if get actual size.

13 celsius is cold? That's as warm as it gets here!

Re: Cressi Gara 3000 LD - size

sorry to hear it stone_shot. Not surprised though when you consider the distance to the ecuador line of Cyprus and Ireland

portinfer, not tried sporasub....but this may give you an idea, i am wearing 44-45 sportshoes and 44-45 gara3000 fits me with 1.5mm neoprene socks + two layer of wooly socks... The point is cressi footpockets are not rigid like omer or any other brand so it does not cause cramp if they are little tight.

Re: Cressi Gara 3000 LD - size

I've gone for the 46-47 and hope they fit - guess I can always glue some neoprene pads in them to flesh them out....

Cheers

Re: Cressi Gara 3000 LD - size

Bought the Cressi 3000LD in size 46-47 - these fit me fine and I also use Sporasub size 44-46. I am normally a UK size 10.5......

Just some info that I would have found useful so hope someone else does.

The footpocket on the Cressi fins seem nice and soft and a bit longer than the Sporasub.

Have yet to try them in the sea...

Ed
