Majestic/fireblade

Who can tell me anything about these fins? They seem popular with some of the Medfish forum users.
Are the blades (Majestic) and footpockets (Pathos fireblade) both made by the same company?
What's so special about them and what do they swim like? Anyone know?

To answer some of your questions:

No, Majestic and Pathos are different companies. As you may have guessed the Pathos footpocket comes with Pathos 'fireblades' which have a similar look like the XXone carbon pro mimetic, but the shape of the Effesub* carbon and fiberglass fins. The Greek 'Vythos' spearo mag had some adds.

*) You may be aware that Effesub (IT) sells Pathos (GR) material under their own brand.

some of my Greek spearfishing buddies swear by the Majestic blades, but I have not tried them (they live on small feet). The blades (100% carbon, no carbon/fiberglass mix) appear to be very soft & flexible compared to other carbon blades (e.g. C4s), and yet provide for outstanding push, if combined with good technique.

As always, some like the Pathos pockets, some don't. The difference to all other pockets on the market is twofold: (i) the rails are much thinner and, hence, allow the blade to work on the full length and (ii) they are much lighter than the standard pockets.

Cheers, ulysses

Re: Majestic/fireblade

Thanks Ulysses, are fireblade fins in fireblade pockets for sale anywhere on the internet? Diveshop Gr. sell the pockets but not with fireblade blades.
Will the pockets accept other blades? (eg. Omer or Specialfins hybrids ?)

Re: Majestic/fireblade

Sorry Sunfish, I only know shops in Athens that do them, but this won't help you I am afraid. Effesub in Italy may market them sooner or later.

In principle, the Pathos pockets should accept other blades - maybe a little bit of trimming on the blade rails is required. If all blades accept the extra/different work load, is a another story.

P.S.(1): BTW on PathosSub.com you have a look at the carbon mimetic fireblades on the bottom right.

P.S.(2): Considering the price of the Pathos pocket / Majestic blade combo in Greece, you may also want to consider full custom Breier carbons: Bipalmes Carbone C 5 Breier Breier Palmes
