Hello.
At the moment I´m using a pair of Gara 3000 LD. I´m very happy with them. The foot pockets fit me perfectly. And the fins are not too stiff. I´ve tested a pair of old Gara 2000 in Sharm el Sheikh last November. Way to stiff for me. And the footpockets didn´t fit as good as the ones of the 3000s. So,.... why do I want another pair of fins, if the 3000 seem to be the right choice for me? First; I have to get another pair, because there are some autographs on the pair I´ve got at the moment. And on the other side; at the end of the day, when my legs start to bekome weaker, it´s hard to control the fins not to touch each other. I watched a lot of the other freedivers in Sharm. There were using so much different types of fins. But the finstroke of the guys with fins which have a certain angle between footpocket and blade looked always easier and not so sloppy. And I like very much the idea of right and left sided footpockets like C4 offers. So, after all I want a pair of fins for; recreational freediving down to 20-30 m (at the moment) not so bad surface performance not to stiff (Gara 3000 LD or softer) changeable blades (good for storing in a bag) Does anybody have tested the new Mares Razor Carbon by now? And on the other hand; C4. I looked at the website; which of the fins would be the right choice for my type of use? Thanks a lot. And please excuse possible mistakes in my english. ![]() |
