Re: H.dessault FORCE CARBONE F2... or ...C4

C4 are italian, Dessault are french and Carbontek are spanish made. As an italian, I say: support the economy of our poor mediterranean country and, please, buy C4!!!
Jokes aside, all the fins you mentioned gathered positive comments, so the brand choice is quite up to your personal preference.
As for stiffness, as a spearfisher in the 10-30 meters range I do not think you need the stiffest compound available: despite your body mass and weight my suggestion is to choose something stiff but still versatile, such as a medium-hard like the Omer Rekord or a C4 with stiffness grade "30". I'm lighter than you in weight, but in any case I wouldn't get a super-stiff "40" for inshore hunting in the mediterranean.
I'm hearing great comments about the new C4 Mustang VGR, a newer version of the Mustangs, made with tighter carbon texture, improved water rails and a more comfortabel footpocket. They're said to be so much, much better than the older Mustangs.
Look around for C4 Mustang Vgr 30 (the medium stiffness).
Just my 2 cents and welcome to Deeperblue.

I wonder how different these new F1 fins are from the old brittle H-Dessault pure carbon. Any thoughts?
