Quick Carbontek review

I got a pair of Carbontek Mattmimetic's from a guy in Florida. I don't know what stiffness they were, but in contrast, we're slightly softer than my meduim stiffness Edge blades.

I have to say that after diving the heavier Edge blades, these felt, in a word, strange. I almost felt like I was overkicking them the whole time, but once I slowed down, I was having no problem keeping up with someone with the medium stiffness Edge blades on the surface, and I was going negatively bouyant(~25feet) with 4-5 full kick cycles.

Did a lot of surface swimming with them on Sunday, and they felt a lot better. I have no problem covering a lot of ground, and they feel really really light.

The only thing I really have to see now is how they feel at depth, and that'll be after I'm done being sick. But so far, I highly recommend them. They fit perfectly in my Picasso pockets, and feel great.
