Pastors Privates iii

Well the weather is abysmal, the sea looks like green sludge just now. Hopefully by next week it will have cleared up enough to get the boat out so we can get to the offshore pinnacles to get enough vis to see the end of the guns.

I made myself a baudrier over the weekend and am keen to try it out before the season is fully over. I've finally (after years of deciding) got fed up of being ill balanced on shallow dives with my body floating up and then trying to pull it back down only to find I'm starting to roll sideways. Planning on making a couple of small clip on weights over the winter too so I can put them on in shallower water while shore diving and then take them off and clip them onto the float as I swim out.

Got buzzed by a rescue helicopter last week too. I was about half a mile out on a shore dive and they must have spotted my buoy and came in to see if I was OK, made me feel pretty good especially as the winchman was looking interested in what I was doing
Mind that was the first time and their base is just across the bay, better not rely on them eh?
