I was getting so frustrated again. I stopped and analyzed my dive and tried to figure out why I was getting such a strong urge to breath, where I had not been getting that before. The first 10m I'm "fine", or so I think. Then I hit 15m and my chest is on fire, I HAVE TO BREATH NOW! So I started...

Getting used to hitting a thermocline was a real eye opener! At Haigh, there was not a big drop in vis, but it was noticeable. The temperature is what you notice. I was able to close my eye on a pulldown and I knew where I was...

Almost dove the Illinois River today. I was hoping this was going to be a fun blog entry, but the day ended up a bust.

We set out to recover a sunken boat. I wanted to see how I would do in 0 vis water. A local guy that just got certified with us a few weeks ago swamped his speed boat and sank it in the river near a bridge. Coast Guard wants it out and the ran sonar and "located" it. Corp of Eng. "located" it and so did DNR. The guy brought a fishing boat...
