New comer to free diving looking for a buddy :)

Hey there guys and girls.

I'm a new comer to apnea but have already within my limited experience enjoyed a meditative state whilst I was under the influence of water .
I'm not sure whether this is the same joy and relaxed state that other free-divers enjoy, but I'm looking to find out more about it and I would definately like to practice it more.
I don't have too much money at my disposal atm and because of that I am looking for a buddy in or around my area who potentially...

Florida's friendly spearos

Since my last entry I have spent many hours searching out charters and other members in Florida for my diver. Each time I click send I keep the dream alive and I have received several offers to share expenses. I am becoming a little more optimistic that something will happen. I must also admit though that my attitude is shifting, because of the economy to a more what the heck just do it. You ask how does a bad economy cause me to adopt a what the heck attitude when such an attidude is so contradictory...

AIDA Results Register

We currently discuss the development of the database and software used by AIDA International for collecting competition results, and for the ranking. You can find the thread here: http://forums.deeperblue.com/freediving-competitions/82457-aida-results-register.html

Opening the source code of the project, and allowing so programmers from the freediving community to join, could help improving the system. For this purpose, there is now a project on the Google Code Project Hosting platform:...

Of Mice and Men

Well hello all. Yes the plans of mice and men tend to unravel. The more detailed your plans the more glitches that tend to pop up their ugly head and this trip is no different. I was trying to combine a visit to the parents with a trip and its looking more and more like I wont be shooting fish. It is so depressing to get to Florida all the way from Iowa and not be able to hunt fish, especially when it appears it will be several years till I can get there again. Every one said go south young man...
