Diving

The first couple of days, I kept chickening out (Thanks, Sara, for that apt description

) at 25m instead of going to my (then) PB of 32, which was my goal for the first days.
It was Sebastian's (Naslund) advice to 'Just let the rope down to 32 and then go there next time' that got me started in my CWT training, so the next day Marc (Guerrin) did safety for my new PB down to 34m In the bay. The day after it was 36 in the...

Heheh!

Diving-Kai83 came by yesterday for an afternoon dive, a day in KN (Konstanz) and another dive today. Way cool!

The diving was good and gave me an idea of how much I've lost it over the past weeks of not touching the water at all. Today felt like I'd almost lost my MDR and kept dropping the air back into my lungs when trying to do the Mouthfill.

Boy, will I be practising and training in Dahab!

Encounter with a local

Hit the water for the first time in a loong while this evening. Surprisingly, the water felt warmer than the autumn air outside and it was nice and clear - that's at least a good thing when summer ends in these parts.
Vis must have been around 10m, but I clambered in at dusk.
Anyway, near the end of the swim I met an eel minding his business and turning towards me when he noticed me.

- Don't we love freediving for not scaring everyone we meet away.
