Re: Anybody Hunt in Southern California

The best times are from next month till sep. My offer for you 4 stands untill used. You guys can book seperate or together. I am already planning my next trip, a 4 day. The one I would take you guys on would be a 3 day weekend trip.

Give a man a fish and he eats for a night, teach a man to spearfish and he has alot of fun and gets to eat fish for the rest of his life.

Besides its another great excuse to go spearfishing...

Re: Anybody Hunt in Southern California

Hey gtb,
I finally managed to pry my wife away from the television and got to look at your video. Though I admit that I did rerun the interview with Jay so that I could spend more time starring down Julie's blouse (all that spearfishing has been good for her lungs, don'tcherknow) the rest of the tape was both informative and encouraging. Now I have to pursue that part-time teaching position so that I can have enough cash to come down for a lesson. All that grouper, triggerfish, parrotfish, tuna . . . yummm!

Re: Anybody Hunt in Southern California

Oldsarge your a crackup!!

The interview with Jay and Julie was shot only 6 or 7 weeks after she gave birth to her new baby girl. She had make a comment about the same thing but I was hoping the 30ft wahoo shot would be too distracting. Thanks for the review!!!!! its my first one!!!

Hey sarge, check out www.spearboard.com and look under the california reports. I have one on there for our last trip. Nice underwater pics of grouper.

Thanks for getting the video and the review!!!

hope to see ya in Baja.

Re: Anybody Hunt in Southern California

Eventually it will stop raining . . . eventually. Maybe we can hook up for a group or some pairs sometime in mid March. I really, really want to eat some fish!

Ha! Darned optimists. I'm thinking of building an ark, with a swimstep, of course.

Back in the day I did most of my hunting in Palos Verdes. I know that area pretty well, but mostly only know Orange County through word of mouth.

Re: Anybody Hunt in Southern California

Hello all,

I hunt free often when the water is not a toilet...Althought I guess there are large mouth garbage bags and Brown Trouts out there to spear! I try to stay north of Point Dume but I'll go anywhere. PM me if you want to hook up. by the way...LOBSTER season closes soon!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: Anybody Hunt in Southern California

O.K., all,
It looks like the weather will be on an upswing for the forseeable future. Anyone up for a morning hunt on the 19th? I'll have to come in before lunch as it's the wife's birthday, but her favorite present is to sleep late so I'm a good guy if I'm out of the house!

Crap! I'll have to eat my earlier hopeful words, it looks like rain again this weekend. Will it ever turn to Spring?

Guess they never been there during this time of year. How far from Escondido are any of you guys?

About an hour in good traffic . . . assuming that there could even be such a thing as good traffic!
