Has anyone ever gone spearfishing at Rocky Point in Mexico? It is a town about 3.5 hrs South of Phoenix, AZ. My sister just purchased a condo there, so I can get some "good rates".
If you went there, where did you go? What are the regulations like for spearing? Sharks? Thanks. Gene

I never been to Rocky Point but i used to live in Sonora, thats the state were Rocky Point is. And i used to go to San Carlos a lot. Im sure its pretty similar Lots of Pargo, Cabrilla , parrot fish. Also you know the reputation for the sea of Cortez for Pelagics.
Check out www.mexfish.com its a site for Rod and reel fishing but it has useful informations as far as what kind of fish you can find, also alot of nice pics of giant pargos taken from rocky point "Puerto Peņasco". as far as regulations im not sure i've never heard of any. Anyways... its the sea of cortez! nobody can go wrong with that
