Constant Weight No Fins

I'm looking for advice on no-fins technique. Is the proper form just inverted breaststroke? Are there any modifications to it or other tips anyone can offer? Thanks, Derek

Re: Constant Weight No Fins

You may find quite helpful watching couple of CNF and maybe also DNF videos:

I think an image explains better than thousand words

Look at Will Trubridge videos for perfect technique

I'm also training CNF

Re: Constant Weight No Fins

Fishon, one simple piece of advice for DNF from a mere beginner. After you do a stroke watch the bottom of the pool and get a feel for how much glide you get out of that stroke. If you make an alteration in your stroke mechanics you will get immediate feedback by seeing how much glide you can get. This may also help with head position (head down, use signs on the bottom of the pool to tell when you are at the end, don't look up).
As the others said watch video of Will Trubridge if you want to see great technique.

Re: Constant Weight No Fins

Rather than "pulling" you hands through the water, think of anchoring your hands, wrists and forearms in the water and pulling your body past them. Yes, it is possible to use your forearms and wrists in this way.

The easy way to be aware of it: don't hurry your arm stroke.
