Hi there,
Talland is a good dive area and as my old haunt I would bet my bottom dollar there are a few bass as well (I only blanked once in 2 years). You can park on the road if you do not want to pay the parking at the cafe. I always went from east to west in the bay - the east sometimes had bass and a few large mullet as well as plenty of flounder hybrids over the sand. I always reckon the best place is the west side amongst the rock spires and stringweed especially early on a sunny morning with an early low water. Ths means as you swm west, you are coming out of the sun! Always a good idea when possble...ask the spitfire pilots of WWII. Good luck and stay safe |

Talland bay has hosted a few spearfihing competitions in the past so there are fish there! Check the spearfishing entry below;
Talland Bay, Cornwall, UK - a magical place I like the area to the right as you enter the water moving towards the headland; lot's of decent bass around under the right conditions and a beautiful place to dive. The cafe owners are spearfishing-friendly having got involved in one or two of the competitions from a cateing point of view. Good luck. |
