Position Available: News & Media Editor

DeeperBlue.net has a volunteer position available. The News & Media Editor is in charge of the managing and delivering daily news items on the DeeperBlue.net News site as well as checking and approving all images that are submitted to the Gallery.

The Editor is responsible for ensuring the constant flow of material and publication on the site via the CMS (Content Management System).

The Editor is the focal point for the development of News Writers in conjunction with the Managing Editor. The Editor is responsible for ensuring the accuracy of material published, if there is any doubt the Managing Editor must be consulted prior to publication. Any applications must be able to prove previous journalistic ability and published work.

Just to clarify a question that i'm receiving a lot of. You DO NOT need to be a qualified journalist to apply for this position. We are looking for a keen volunteer who has proven that they are able to work in the internet environment.
