are you supposed to enter your regular password? it doesn't work for me either way.
i can use MSN and Yahoo Messenger, Skype, without problems. Any options on my browser i should be checking/changing?

Does anyone else have the problem when they go to
-forums
-new posts
-first new post (under the arrow)
I used to go to the oldest unread post but now I go to the first post, no matter how old. The arrow doesn't seem to work.

Yep, same problem...Also it seems that if I read posts on one computer (home), at another (work) they'll be unread. Before the update this was not happening...

But I guess Stephan is already looking into that? (I think Deepthought already mentioned a similar problem)

Bill,

The reason behind this is we have switched the method of tracking "read" or "unread" posts. The forums are now a lot smarter in how they track this, however due to the change the forums will assume that a lot of threads are "unread".

To resolve this you need to go to the Nav Bar at the top of the page, then Quick Links and then finally Set Forums Read. This will set all forums and threads "Read" and the forums will track them properly from now on.

This is not a system configuration problem (I have checked with our software provider) - it has to be a local configuration issue on your side. You do not need to enter any passwords as this will be automatically referred from the forum software to the chat software.

Can you try clearing your Java cache (should be in your Windows Control Panel > Java Options).

I can't view my private messages. I get the following error:

Also, when I try to login from forums.deeperblue.net using the correct form, I am still told that I am viewing the boards as a guest.

I dumped my cache and tried again, but the same result.

Yet, I am able to post...

You need to clear you cookies and then close down all browser windows, the start up a new one.

Let me know if that fixes it.

Hi Stephan

I am using Safari [I use a Mac]. I deleted all instances of DeeperBlue cookies, shutdown the browser, and then opened it again. The problem still persists.

I opened Firefox browser, and did not have any of these issues, was able to log in and check my PM's no probs...

Maybe a Safari bug
