FORUM CHANGES: The Spearo Network

Hi everyone.

Just to let you know that we're going to be embarking on a fairly major change to the Spearo Network in the Hunting Category very shortly.

We will be moving this group of forums to a separate category, renaming it to the International Spearo Network & Trip Reports and greatly expanding the number and type of forums available. These new set of forums will be there to allow people to not only find buddies in their local area but also post local trip reports.

This is the first of several changes happening to the forums over the coming weeks.

Thanks, Stephan; the new structure, with all the new hosted forums, and the spearo network is indeed helpful. Now if you only could add the feature to filter out some forums entirely. I mean not only hiding them on the main forum page, but especially hiding them from the "new posts" and "today's posts". The traffic here on DB gets higher and higher, and unfortunately also the noise-to-signal ratio grows, so it is sometime difficult just to browse through new posts to see if there is something that interests me.

It would be great if we could decide which sub-forums we want to read, and which not. I know there is a module for vBulletin enabling just that (and maybe it is even already incorporated natively in the current version), so it should not be too difficult to accomplish.

Looks good. Any room for a Sussex area alongside Dorset/Devon/Cornwall/Guernsey? We've been seeing some active posting for the area recently and I'd like to see more. There are spearing clubs & competitions in the area & it is also frequented by London spearos.
