Line Release Solutions

Hey . .
I have a pathos trigger from diveshop that i have fitted into my diy gun .
I am concerned about using the supplied line release ,has anyone experience of these?
Also i am looking at other possible solutions , like the helicopter one- i would imagine that these would work great , where would i get these?
Any other options?
Cheeeers

Re: Line Release Solutions

You could try the triangular line release that rests against the shaft if you look at some of the home made guns on the Australian spearfishing websites you will find some photos of these try spearfishing.com.au or extremespearfishing.com.au or spearoz.org
Warning although spearozsite contains a lot of good advice from experienced divers it is also a bit rough around the edges with some adults only style language and jokes etc so if your offended by swearing or poor taste jokes etc be warned it may not be the place for you.

Re: Line Release Solutions

These helical line releases came with the Abellan triggers in the gun but should be easy enough to make

This is the basic set up of the release on the Pathos (more or less identical to the Esperasub)

Might be worth trying it out on a piece of old pine first

Re: Line Release Solutions

Hey thanks for your replies ,
I have fitted the standard line release that came with the trigger , and i have also fitted the trigger and pushrod [and , i think it all works ]
although i think i have some fine tuning to do.
Pastor : It would be good if you could have a look at the gun before i give it a finish , just in case iv'e missed something out.. Ill make some time and bring it over soon ..
Cheers
