Smile Introduction

Hi there

I am in my second season of spearfishing and have been diving around the Dorset coast. I am really enjoying this activity and am looking for oher local divers to buddy with. I have contacted Bryn from portlandspearoacademy.com and he has suggested that I should visit this site to help find a dive buddy. If there is anyone who wishes to meet up for a dive please pm or email me.

many thanks

Richie

Richie

I'm relatively new to this too.
You will find a lot of friendly people always willing to help and give advice on Deeper Blue. The Portland guys you will talk to and no doubt meet are extremely friendly and will make you feel welcome.
If I am down I will let you know.

Speak soon
Tim (Coops)

Re: Introduction

I am based in Poole and have dived around the peirs and also by the haven hotel and across the chain ferry at Studland. I have had a fair few dives around the Portland and Swannage area including recently Durlston Bay and Church Ope. Most sites around Dorset are accesible to me as long as transport can be arranged.

P.S. Church Ope is horrible at the moment I was in yeasterday and was sea sick!

not too bad. Could be catching more but still learning where to go and what holes to look in. Lucky enough to dive with a few of the good ones, and Podge (sorry mate!!), so I hope i'm improving each trip. One of the most memorable was seeing Glowworm with the 11lb plus bass.
As with my (rod) fishing I'm lucky to be able to just enjoy the day out and catching is a bonus.
If you're about and spot spomeone flailing badly in the water come and say hello.
