Re: Dorset Spearing 2009

Well on the Dark Lord Almostafish’s advice we came down for a little look see. Was cold and a bit on the windy side but well dive able, jumped in right outside Bryn’s place on the lookout for a few flatfish, and found a few shells!!, who would have thought it Did see a couple of nice Flounder but the water was so shallow that it was hard to get the gun around before the fish bolted out of the sand.
I reckon we had about 2-21/2 meters of vis and the water temp is now down to just 7degrees but it felt so good to just get in the water that it could have been -7 degrees and I wouldn’t have cared.
Over and out Dorset folk and might see a few of you over the weekend if you fancy it?

Oh almost forgot, a very BIG thank you to John the Fluffchucker, a most welcome treat over Christmas mate.

Re: Dorset Spearing 2009

Hi Guys,

haven't posted for a while so hope everyone had a good christmas and boxing day, took the boat out yesterday in the Portland area to work off some christmas pud. Viz was workable at a couple of metres or so. Didn't encounter any fish worth taking except a half a dozen scallops.

Has anyone got the Go Pro HD I am thinking of purchasing it but would like to see what the 127 degree camera looks like. I currently have the wide 170 degree angle which gives the impression of being real far off, also the batteries are expensive! the new one has a rechargable. So if anyone has some footage from the camera I'd love to see it to help me make my mind up on whether or not to buy it.

My pleasure but I'm now worried just how well you lied on Christmas Eve - "Problems with your courier!" - but it was a cracking suprise on Christmas Day - also big thanks to FearTheTurkey
