ears

I have a question for anyone who is qualified to answer it.

My ears equalize differently from each other. my right ear makes a little pop, the other makes no sound at all, i can just feel the pressure increasing from the inside of my eardrum. Is this normal, or this dangerous? I have not really dived to any really great depths. I was wondering If you think this could be a damaged eardrum or is it just a normal occurance?

Re: ears

For most divers the ears work a little differently or the other one is more problematic than the other.

As long as you can equalize and there is no pain, I'd say it's normal and ok.

Re: ears

It seems like your left eustachian tube is narrower than the right one.As Jome said everything is OK as long as you CAN equilize.
