new guns from C4!

I can't wait to see the new spearguns (2 models) announced by C4. Supposed they will be on trade by the end of autumn. There's very little anticipation about them. They should have the same style of the Monoscocca, but with many improvements. One should be a railgun with titanium muzzle and one should be fitted for circular bands. By now, the above pic boosts my impatience...

The upper one is extremely cool looking.

I agree, Chris! I wonder why the handle is split in two parts and feel curious as a monkey about everything. But this is the only pic available.
I read an interview to the designer, but doesn't give more details. Just that the new models will be (his words) "one step upper to the Monoscocca".

Monoscocca:

Re: new guns from C4!

The handle is split, in my opinion, to allow the grip to be made bigger or smaller according to the size of your hand or thickness of glove. You see this design on some target pistols too. You do this by turning the screws.

Re: new guns from C4!

I agree, this would also let you adjust the relative width of top and bottom - effectively changing the wrist angle.

Re: new guns from C4!

That would be interesting: wrist angle and handle size are my obsession in choosing spearguns.

Re: new guns from C4!

Very nice looking handle!
I guess the new model with integrated rail and circular bands will be very hard to beat as my new dream gun
Looking forward for more info!

I would have hoped they changed the line release design but from that pic it looks the same.

No one has commented on the bottom pic. The handle and butt look like they've been "furred". What's up with that??

This is commonly seen with C4 guns, it's just to improve the grip, makes the handle 'stickier' when in water and butt 'stickier' when loading against wetsuit

Hiya

It does offer better grip, but also wears off rather quickly!!

Re: new guns from C4!

To get this better-grip-lining people used to just take silicone glue and put little drops on the grip until it was all covered. Taking the spout of the clue directly away from the grip leaves these hair-like thingies...it improves the grip
If you are into C4s

Cheers Stav

Re: new guns from C4!

One more pic. The first portion of the barrell looks much wider and flatter than C4 Monoscocca, while the portion ongoing to the muzzle is slimmer. Most of the mass is near the handle

Re: new guns from C4!

WOW! I want one!

Where did you see those pics, I couldn't find them on thier site. I love the looks and a friend down in Florida has one (reg c-4 with 2 bands and open muzzel) and raves about it. When I shot it (in the pool) it felt like it was just an extension of my Jedi Mind! I was hooked ever since.

I am sure glad I saw your post, I was getting ready to purchase one of the regulare c-4s for my trip this winter. I think I will wait...

Let me know if you guys see them around or hear that they are being sold.
