i wanted a gun that would last and if a take a trip to the ocean i can pack fairly easily, hence the 70cm. plus the fish i can shoot arent to big here. can you insert wishbones w/out that wishbone inserting tool? it doesnt look to complicated but then again what do i know?

just rember size = range and power, depends as well on how the fish behave if they are skittish and you cant get close then youll have issues. I would stick with a 1m, small enough to pack and travel, and long enough to be good in most shore dive / medium range shots. Can also be used for slightly bigger fish.

It is very easy with the tool but I reckon you could do it with long-nose pliers if you didn't have the tool. It might even be possible to do it without a tool. Without being too gross, rather than using silicon spray, I used saliva to lube the end toggles/beads - figuring that it would quickly dry and become tacky; don't want the toggles lubed to come out under tension! (Glyerine/glycerol, soapy water or diluted detergent are other pos. alternatives).
