Pastor shoots and he scores
![]() ![]() ![]() If you want to take out the spears go for it but like alot of the guys I never take out the spear, except when it gets cleaned or replaced. Spray some silicone oil into all the holes on the handle where there is moving parts and remove the rubbers if you can, clean them well and store in the fridge. Make sure the gun and all its parts are completely dry when you put it in storage, any water thats left in the handle or that perhaps got into the barrel in some way will cause rust if its just let be

Anyway, back on track, I don't lubricate at all, I just give the trigger a good blast with the hose pipe after use and make sure it is dry. If I was to put any lube on it would only go on the catch notch of the shaft, I would be worried about sand sticking to the lube inside the mechanism

As any good soldier knows, strip down and dry clean, lightly lubricate the moving parts, assemble and return to Armoury to await the next use.
PS we dont have a winter break so no need to freeze our rubbers or lubricate the shaft. woof woof.... Peter
