Exclamation Rob Allen Tuna 120

Hello everybody !!!

Im new in here, but have been hunting for several years i denmark where i
have been using light guns like picasso, sporasub, and immersion. from 60-110cm.

But after falling in love with hunting in norway im considering buying a bigger and more powerfull gun like RA-Tuna120 for the big codfishes, coalfishes, pollacks, and halibuts and far away shots in the good visibility..

My Main problem is that i want to attach a videocamera (trygons small housing for panasonic 180 minidv cam) we are a few guys who did it on omer-and picasso guns, by separating the handle from the trigger housing and putting in small stainless screws and nuts to hold a stainless stealplate on the outside top of the triggerhousing on which the camerahousing is attached.. can anyone give me some measurings or pictures of the handle and triggerhousing on the rob allen tuna gun ?

i find it hard to find data on this gun on the internet, could be my surfing skills so maybe a few links also !!

another thing ! is it possible to attach a loading pad on the back of the tunagun

also i need to know if there is any breakaway system on it, or maybe an opportunity to buy something fra RA made specially for the gun. I may not be shooting bigger fishes than 20 kg. but i still have a 1500 euro camerahousing sitting on the gun, and i won´t let that go down i the deep or leave it down there with a 20 kg. fish on the spear, though it could be some nice recordings

Best spearing regards from

Michael.

Re: Rob Allen Tuna 120

Hi Micky, here we are a year later . Surprised nobody replied. I'm sure some of the SA spearos & worldwide forum members must have fitted a cameras to their railguns at some point -- several of the British spearos have fitted them to various spear guns within the last year (search forum for details) - read a thread just a couple of weeks ago on this - and we don't have the visibility enjoyed by those in more tropical climes. A popular approach included fashioning a bracket out of various plastic & , I think, attached variously to reel fitting, barrel bolt, safety hole or base of handle.

Re: Rob Allen Tuna 120

It is possible to buy a break away for RA but you can use the line release as a perfect break away. Look on the Rigging section or blue water cronicles.

You can also put a real on it though if in deep water i would use a float set up.
