Curacao

Has anyone been to Curacao? The wife and I are planning a January vacation and I want to go to a place that has great shore diving and she needs some kind of night life. Any suggestions? We live in philadelphia, so we were looking to stay in the Caribbean.
Thanks,
Jim

I was there a few years ago and loved it. I was staying at the Sunset Waters resort and loved the dive operation. The resort itslef was nice and secluded.
I really liked it, but the person I was with at the time didn't like being so far from town. We ended up moving to the Princess Casino Resort, or some crappy place like that, and I wasn't fond of the dive operation at all. The shore dives were a mess because everything was dead there.
This is a picture of the "reef" outside of that resort.
Stay North of town if you can.

Hey there, been to Curaçao twice and done several free and scuba dives.....been there before and after 'Lenny'. A lot of diving spots have severe damage but still there is enough to see.

There are good divingguids in the bookshops.

You can read about my stay on the island on my website and find some photo's above and under water. This part of my site is in English.

Greetz,

Cool Why not try Costa Rica's caribbean coast

I know you asked about Curacao, but why not the caribbean costa of Costa Rica... you will have all the night, day and marine life you will ever need.. plus lucious forests... Most of the nice places are protected areas (no spearing) but some places you can. Send me a message if you need more info... bye..
