Cool Sharm, El Gouna or Huragada

I would like to take my family to Egypt for a dive holiday. I am torn between these areas. I have sort of settled on a nice Hotel in Sharm el Sheik because it is at an all inclusive hotel my wife will like for a pretty good deal. The area is called Shark's Bay and I like the sound of that! Anyone know if this is the best area for freediving or any freediving friendly dive companies in the area? Thanks.

I dony know about freediving friendly diving companies, but i can compare hurghada to sharm since i've been to both of those places.
In general Sharm is much better place for diving, since it has corals and nice dive spots at shores all around the area. The biggest problem is that different hotels 'own' the beaches and it is difficult to get to the shore dive spots that are not 'owned' by your hotel. My advice is to check wich hotels have beaches at nice dive spots and go to one of them.
We usually reserve this dirt cheap hotel called tropicana tivoli since it has a beach at extremely beautyfull place with great freediving opportunities.
Any charter will take freedivers on board. You should take a boat to straits of tiran where corals are much more alive, and jackson reef is extremely nice place to freedive.

Try Desert-Divers in Dahab (approx. 100 kays north of Sharm): http://www.desert-divers.com/page39.html

El Gouna

El Gouna is a nice place but you have to go with boat to have acces to the depths.
The beaches there is shallow but offers snorkeling (3-7m) that are OK!

For serious freediving I would not recommend this place!
