We spearfish in the DESERT!!!

Every day Am watching spearfishing photos from all around the globe, All of them with trees, green and clear blue skies!!!
Only Us we spearfish in the Desert with only two Colors .... Yellow and dull blue!!!
Well its a nice feeling to jump from a sand dune directly to the deep water, But still its better to see some different COLORS!!!!

At that day me and barracuda decided to go and try my new CD flasher (or as he like to name it ... my Xmas tree )
As always I was late!! and we have only one hour to dive ...
We went to the closest spot, that is over fished all the time!!
he took his tenewene flasher and hit the water first, and I took my CD flasher connected to a flater and we place them with about 10 distance between each other ... shaked them like no tomorrow ... then we start free diving around them in about 10m deep (something like 32 feet).
Allot of fishes was circling around my flasher .... and nothing around his!!!

Most of them was Cudas ... I shoot a nice one, but my reel tangled and it teard away... went up again loaded my gun, Cuda went donw and I followed him ... and this nice king was approaching to enjoy my Flasher .... at that moment my body came out of no place and shoot it in front of my eyes
and the poor fish start circling couple of cm away from me .... and to my bad luck it was a tight shot

any ways after that I shot a much bigger one ....HUH.... ok ok I mean I wished to shoot a bigger one like the one in my photo .... but it never happened and yes the photo is fake

I ended up with two small cudas and a lesson .... DON'T EVER DIVE WITH A BODY or MANIPULATE photos in Photoshop!!!!

(just joking) nice catch Barracuda and be ready next week ... this time will BEAT YOU

I spear in the Desert too! I spear in Baja Mexico. Not the same kind of desert but still a desert with a lot of cactus.

By the way i just came back from 4 months at Qatar, somewhere colse to DOHA, i liked Doha a lot its a nice place.

heeeeeey my flashers are very hight tech ... and made of tinfoil -_- :P

Those CD flashers do work well here too - tried them last year at the Channel Islands. But the metallic coating only lasted for less than a full day. I have heard of people using mirrored disco balls, but can't find any to buy. Anyone know a source?
