Nice one. What depth were those dives??
If you ever come and join us in Capetown, Dont ever carry your fish like that on a belt-stringer!!

Very cool video indeed, Qatar_hunter. But, we all due respect, may I suggest that you guys work to improve your finning techniques? You're "pedaling" too much, therefore not using the whole potential of your fins and legs.

who is the diver with a deathwish that has his catch on a belt stringer?
you guys do know there are Tiger, Bull, and Hammerhead sharks in the gulf right? (have personally dove with all 3 in the Arabian Gulf) also diver with knife on outside of calf. this could be a fatal entanglement hazard should you ever need to drop a belt or encounter fishnet. moving it to the inside dramatically reduces entanglement hazzards

They like to live life on the edge. I also swim around with fish on me. But here you do not see sharks very often. And if you do... he is probably going to bite you in half.

Exactly! It is a personal decision. May prove to be stupid one day. But most of us take our chances. As do people who do not wear seat belts.

Dont want to steer off topic, but I asked professional fishers about tigersharks and bullsharks, and none of those have been caught off qatar, at least in the past 10yrs.... That of course doesnt mean those are not found in the Arabian gulf, but the probability of encountering one is extremly extremly low. The other most common sharks here (as I was told by those fishermen) are blacktip reefs, oceanics, giant hammerheads, scalloped hammerheads, sandbars, and zebras, which are relatively not that aggressive.....
