I live in harvey cedars on weekends and I am always looking for new spots on the island to shoot fish. Usually i just go off the jetties near my house but I would like to find some new spots. I have a polespear that I bought last year. I am kinda new but usually get some tog or bass. I would love to tag something new though. let me know if anyone has some good spots that they would not mind sharing.

I created a group called New Jersey Spearfisherman. This for all of the jersey spearos sick of scrolling through mountains of forum titles in search of jersey info ( dive spots, dive buddies, conditions, etc )
This is a social group and will pop-up in your home profile, making it a easy check. send me a message if you have any questions |

The clarity two weekends ago was amazing, I was able to identify fish from the surface in 15' of water. You can't always do that in Jersey. Got my first striper!! Holy crap was that a battle with a polespear. 30" not a monster as far as stripers go, but it was TASTY!

The stripers are still around. I saw a bunch of them on Saturday morning, but didn't shoot any. Got a 21" flounder off a jetty in Surf City Saturday morning though. I very rarely get to see them on the bottom, must have just been my lucky day.
