Ok been rolling around this idea for sometime...Whatya guys think about putting a spearin' contest together...any input?

Haha funny you would bring this up. I was thinking about this if we had a large group during the overnight trip lol!!
How would the rules work?? Heaviest fish wins it? What area?? Time frame?? Prizes??........... fish fry?? haha

 ...objective really is to get a few Florida guys together share some laughs, tips, competitiveness, and comradship. Guess it would be something like an entry fee, a given area say Gov. Cut north to Haulover Cut from one set time to another weigh in time...it could be for most pounds of Fish- one species each max 3 in cooler, or biggest fish (I'm planning on starting a Fish of the Month Thread...so the contest could revolve around this Fish....one only with max of 3 of same in the cooler...as an example)...the winner takes the pot (the $$$ dude the $$$) or a prize...if its a prize then we leave the $$$for the grand prize (this idea would be pretty qool if we do the fish of the month thing...in other wordsWe have a fish of the month contest $___ entry... 3 of same fish max, enter biggest fish you shot...winner takes a prize, $$$goes to pot Next month new fish...repeat and so forth...then the final contest one of each of the fish...only one in cooler, only one can be entered, must have one of each fish...the one with most #'s total fish wins the $$$pot$$$, or one of my guns...nah Just thinking outloud, but its a start...what do you guys think

You guys thought of contacting the Broward Longfins and the Miami Freedivers? Broward Longfins meet the 3rd monday of each month at Bass pro Shop in Dania. Guests are welcome; you can contact the President of the club beforehand and discuss with him (see his contact info in www.longfins.org).

Tone, I'm in bro......also got about 5 other guys who'd be interested......trying to get them on the forum and engage with other spearos - this tourney might be an incentive.....shoot me some details asere y "pa la pesca!"....Dale....

Oye Mario deja la mariconeria! donde esta la cherna de 45lbs dale mentiroso enseņame. Oye I finished my creation of the stringer it's bad as$ now, no more fish getting out of that, just need to find a little bouy to drag it along. Get in touch with Alain que nos vamos de pesca!

my cameras down, dude, sorry dude...one of the guys had a disposable one took some pix will see if can post once he gets'em developed....dude...should be sweet after this front...Arman, I'm back to the stringer on, but used weedwhacker mono to sub. for cable

ewwww, why man! does it curve on you or what? I used regular dyneema line actually it's the line that goes on the reel. Any ways I went down to austins to get a clip and I did exactly what that guy did on his, hopefully it works out the way I want it to. I don't see why not any ways.

Tone, sux about ur cam.....were u using a case around a personal digital camera? Cuz i've been unsuccessful in locating one for my canon for less than $250......needless to say, I have no desire to pay near the equivalent of what my camera itself cost me......any ideas? I'd be much abliged......and dude, gimme a call when u get the chance I'm hitting the keys for three days after my bday, fri-sun for some spearing....

Conyo papo!! What a bunch of Cubanazos up in here jaja! I'm working on a stringer rig for my boogie float, I just finished up a 400lb 75ft float line for my soon to come open water adventures
 . Armando try using a boogie board, works well for me at least.Mario your B-Day is this week...... along with like half a dozen of my buddies lol.. April is a BDay fest I swear! What part of the keys are you hitting up?
