 Hello people! Did a little fishing 2day with good old friends of mines. Woke up around 0430 and called my buddy he was up by 0400 so failed attempted to mess with him there. W.E. We left Black Point around 0620 and probably hit the water around 0700-0730. Early in the mourning the ocean was very angry pounding waves left me all f*cked up puked all over my boat periodically  1st spot – Do my 20-27 ft drop and nailed a hog come back nailed another one with the 1st one on the gun go up and I see my hog is not there prob my flopper did not engage or he ripped the spear due to a high shot. Start puking and feeling as if I am going to die……..  2nd spot- my friend’s dad catches a couple of hogs nothing out of the ordinary. Waves still kicking hard very, very cloudy & a nice grouper. 3rd spot – Felt Like I was going to die feeling so bad is unexplainable at times, so my friends dad tells me get in the water trust me you going to feel a lot better. By now I’m already destroyed from puking, I had an empty stomach and pretty much nothing to puke mostly reflexes. So I hit the water (leave my weight belt) do my drop and feel something wrong oh snap my weights w.e I fired 3 shots no hogs I’m yelling (ping and cojos) ß- cursing] all over the place. He tells me dale come here and hands me my weight belt dawn it and go to look for fish and when I turned behind my boat I see the biggest hog (in person of course) oh sh*t I nutted lol na for real I drop and he turns and bOOM! He is hit and my gun slipes out of my hand, he was very strong what can I say!  . He hides under a ledge. I don’t panic of course & as easy as that, I go after my gun grab it and bring him up. Conclusion we decided to give it a go cuz we where feeling bad. As we head back lol the F*CKING SKY CLEARS AND THE SUN SHINES! We are all like  wtf lol we should had stayed .... but everyone knew we all decided to leave for a reason... Nice hog and groupah mang!!! Did you get any sleep that night?? I had the same problem one time when I only got like two hours of sleep before heading out.... it was bad felt like throwing up the whole time with a headache. How deep was that hoggy?

Man to be honest that hog was in shallow water yeah I know, I to am surprised but I think he came down from deeper waters to mate cuz he had about 5-6 females surrounding him.  If I would have caught him in the act I would have not shoot.  I actually shot a hog in 25sh ft of water and he was a lot smaller than him perhaps 14-17

Good report man...nice pico pato! and chernita
 Look on the bright side now you know what brings them in...just next time eat some beans and rice with some shrimp...so you can chum better  ...ha, like Mahi said sounds like SeaS it happens and getting in the water does help fumes from the engine worsens it...and yes hogs are mating...by next week all females are off my list for a couple of weeks at least...way to set some Steel

very nice hog, and chernita.
Hogs are out and about, i agree with tone on leaving the females. if you follow the females long enough they will point you in the right direction
