a few weeks ago, i was invited to go on a trip to marqueasas with a group of firefighters from marathon to go on a chartered 30 ft center console. so , needless to say, i dropped everything and went spearing. these guys are sponsored by omer to make a video, so they were collecting footage. my buddy, borrowed his buddy, ryan's commercial fishing boat, and we left. i will have to say, i am a killer, but these guys were putting me to shame, all the way till the last dive when i got my mutton. that pic with the 30" mutton is me. the kill list was so vast that day. the pics arent that impressive, but if you see the size of my mutton, then look at that same fish amongst the others, you can get somewhat of a perspective. something like 17 hogfish, 2 ambejack(one was like 50 lbs!) 3 yellow jack, 3 mutton, 3 blacks, 3 spanish mack, 2 cero mack, 6 gray snapper( a couple fattys!)

yes, all freedive. ellis rock and marquesa rock, are like huge humps with ledges all around the edge, it is about 25 to 35,(perfect,i think)with the center of the humps at about 8 to 10 at the marker, we also dove the bar on the deep side in about 35 to 50 feet, in blue water, real nice vis but not much ledges., some random coral heads, sometimes productive. we also went to a bunch of places on the way back, in shallow water,10 to 16 feet deep, on atlantic side with really nice coral heads , some of them are huge! i got my mutton in about 12 feet of water, i was coming around a rock and i saw him, he stopped and turned to split, but he was too slow, my riffe 110 euro took his ass out.that was at kingfish shoal, about 2 miles from kw harbor,(one of our close spots, always productive, for muttons, hogs, sometimes grays
