canon powershot s5 is

hi,

Canon Europe - PowerShot S5 IS

Canon BeBit Digital Camera Underwater Photography Guide

i'm searching for a possible replacement for my current nikon and found this canon: powershot s5 is. is there a canon uw housing for it? i couldn't find one. also, does anyone know whether there will be one in the near future?

at the moment my idea is to use the canon mainly on land with only a secondary option to take it uw. but then again i'd rather buy a cheaper plastic housing of the type the company makes already for various other models. the expenses if i.e. ikeltite housings would be too much.

as an alternative to the canon s5 i found this new nikon coolpix p5000 or p5100:

Nikon UK - COOLPIX P5100

this one has a teleconverter and wide angle lens as accessories. any opinions on these? and the same question as for the canon: any company made uw plastic housings coming at some time?

cheers,

roland
