Re: New DYN WR: Stig 225m

Congradulations Stig!

Well Done! I really admire your ability to keep improving, and not leveling out.
The 8:40 is also worldclass, and I think you can do even more!

It's great seeing the performance levels all arround are still rocketing, it paves the way for the average diver as the improved techniques and trainingmethods are spreading through the community.

Though I think it's still a large jump I expect WR's to leap ahead this year. Stig, Herbert, Martin, Tom, and others, Thank you for your effort! Stig I really hope you'll find the ability to equalise beyond the 70m one day!

What gave you the extra 15m?
Sure we mortals like to see the video, bring it on!

I'm looking forward to the Stig's futures 170m+ DynNF! Perhabs more fireworks at The World Championships in Maribor?

Thank you!

Kars

ps Dannybuoy, Wolle wrote the divetime was 2'53", on average 43,25" a lane. Not very speedy in my book, as Peter Pedersen did his amazing 200m in just over over 2' with laptimes like 29 - 31.

Great job by a great freediver!
See you in Maribor. Tom might change his mind and come to the championship too.

well, the game is on now in all 3 indoor disciplines, Tom needs to add some more meters and seconds to the pot, if he wants to stay atop!

Re: New DYN WR: Stig 225m

Stig's monofin:
I don't remember the brand, it might be Waterway, but it's a type 'Glide' mono as shown below, the type with them weird (but apparently effective) ... tubes, what ever, stemming out from the foot pockets.

Re: New DYN WR: Stig 225m

I just got an SMS from Stig. His monofin is custom build by someone in Novosibirsk through a contact from Natalia Molchenova and Natalia Avseenko. Aparently, Stig doesn't think very much of the Waterway fin I pasted in the post above.

Novosibirsk? Anyone know what company or craftsman he's talking about?

Re: New DYN WR: Stig 225m

If you look at the results of the Aarhus comp.. there is one name that shouldn't be missed: Peter Pedersen did a 213 meter dynamic. Complete report and results here Aarhus Triple Challenge 2007 « Shark Freediving

All I can say is those fins rock - perhaps the best fin I've ever tried. Somehow they have made the footpocket extremely comfortable, it's like making love to your feet...But still it works excellent.

At least looking at the photos in Hyperfins.ru it looks like the same fin...But of course custom made is always custom made.
