I have been reading this forum for a long time, but I registered today to post the information about our pool competititon - since it has not been announced on AIDA Intl web page yet.

We really would like to have some new competitors this year to.

3rd Submania Apnea Cup – Zagreb 2007

1.Date: November 24th 2007.

2.Location: Zagreb, Swimming Pool Utrina (address: Balotin prilaz bb, Novi Zagreb, tel.: +385 1 6659 666). The swiming pool is on the way from Zagreb city center to Airport.

3.Facilities: dynamic pool (50m, 2.50m, 23 °C) and static pool (1.20m, 26°C)

4.Disciplines: STA, DYN/DNF (under same ranking)

5.Type: Individual, National with guests, A.I.D.A. ranking

6.Categories: female/male, teams, min. age 16 y (with written consent of parents)

Special ranking and awards for teams will be made. The team result is formed as a sum of points of two best male competitors and one female competitor, all from the same club. Especially, for overall individual and team ranking, before score calculation, performances made in DNF discipline will be transformed in corresponding DYN values using the formula below:

DYN=1,15*DNF+15.

Tanks once again, to be honest DYN was a bad dive for me, I have expected much more, but something went wrong... don't know what... so when I sow I couldn't get the length i was having in mind i decided to dive out. Will do it next time I hope.

Sorry for the misspelling of your name...not sure why I put an L instead of an R. What do you think happened in your DYN? Maybe tired from the static perhaps or do you think it was something else?

Hy Will, no problem for miss spelling my name

Well I don't know, I was thinking allot about it... It was a few thing I guess... first big gap between disciplines, about 7h, one think that's great for resting but at the end you just feel tiered from all waiting and not eating... Then was my wormup, I enter water to late so I was forced to do short wormup instead of my usual. Then the dive it self, I just could not hit my technique right, I was adjusting things while diving and that's not good. Then again, people told me that my big static before left me just to drain for another big dive at the same day, that might be true to....

Great static - how long without eating before the dynamic?? 7 hours is a long time

It was like 6h before DYN when I eat banana and some energy bars, and I eat two energy bars early at the morning before my static. Static was around 11am and dynamic was at 7pm. I somehow don't think it's about eating, but my legs was killing me during the dive, and that's not usually the case for me because I have a slow style two kicks and glide and I do not stress my legs really that much. I was able to push for 10-15m more from the dive, but that will be dangerously on the edge so I did not want that when I sow I will not be able to hit my badly wanted 200m mark...

Well never the less, I'll probably never know what went wrong
