Question which underwater watch to buy??

Hi all,

for the coming summer dives I want consider buying a underwater watch, which would help me both in scuba and freediving. I've already got an offer of 510 euro for SUUNTO Stinger. Is there anyone who has an idea about this model? An important point proably is which preferences a good diving watch should or should not have. Can you inform me in this? Besides this every kind of recommendations about which watch to buy are wellcomed.
Thank you for your help...
eren

Everyone's favorite

I cannot speak from personal experience, but I've asked the same question of many people and the consensus seems to be the Suunto Stinger or the less expensive Suunto Mosquito, which I believe has the same functions as the Stinger, but a plastic case instead of stainless (thus, it is only about 60% as expensive).

The folks I know who own them rave about them, but alas, I have not yet brought myself to spending that much for a computer . . . I get by with a cheap Timex Ironman 200M and a cheap UWATEC depth guage. I keep the dive profiles in my head where the files won't get corrupted or accidentally deleted and aren't subject to being over-analyzed.

Post overanalyze?

so Chris... lay back on the couch and tell me about your Mother..

I've been looking for a freedive specific watch and am waiting to see the Suunto D3's but have been doing real fine with the trusty Seiko. Give www.ebay.com a look- they've got divers watch there up the wazzoo- Seiko, Citizen, Omega...
