Having a bit of a problem with my friends Mares Apnesit. It won't work. I can get it to turn on but it refuses to activate/respond to anything. I even took it down to 100 feet. I've pulled the battery out and reset it to no effect. Has anyone had a similiar experience and got it working again?

The apneist sucks. Everyone I know who has ever had one, had it fail on them. Mine is completely non-functional. Once it is 'gone', it usually stays that way. Sorry for the bad news. Time to switch to a Suunto computer!

Ahhh, the voice of optimism :-) I think he's already primed to get a D3, I'm just feeling a little guilty that it stopped working while I was using it!

you both should send it to me, I know how to repair it
 The problem with this computer is about the place where the AAA battery is, because low battery contact move down and there is no contact, to solve this yo only have to put a metallic piece in the closing cover so it can make contact in both places. mine is working after this "repair" and for a long time. I thing is the best dive computer, suunto D3 sucks.... hope this helps.

Sorry for the delay, this is because I've been looking yesterday for Mares Apneist Specifications, and I found this post
.Hope these guys, haven't sent it it's the best computer I've ever seen.(maybe a little bit big )

Are any of the posts here about the new Mares Apneist? I have problems with my new Mares Apneist. For no reason it starts beeping and resets in some way I think. The time keeps changing quite often. It`s only a few months old so it`s covered by the warranty.
