Save yourself money on a Paradisia Noseclip

1. Buy a pack of small plastic clamps used to hold wood together for gluing etc. I got 6 for 95p.

2. Find 2 CD dots, the ones that hold a CD or DVD in place on a piece of card. The free CDs you get from internet providers are good for these.

3. Stick the dots to the ends of the clamp, et voila!

I'll try and post a picture of mine soon. Works a treat!

Re: Save yourself money on a Paradisia Noseclip

I was looking to design something similar but that would allow for mask equalization, but after investigating the costs of prototyping, manufacturing, etc, I gave up. Instead, I borrowed a friend's paradisio and had it molded and then cast a few of my own. The casting material I used wasn't the greatest for aesthetics but functionally it works like the original.

Thanks again Jim !

The guy, who makes paradisio will be thrilled... but seriously: I would definetly buy one of the paradisio noseclips but it is just too much hustle what with the postage and money transfers etc. Will the guy who makes them attend WC in Hurgada? If so, he can make some bussines there, I am sure. I would be the first in line.

Re: Save yourself money on a Paradisia Noseclip

I used an epoxy resin that I bought in a local art store. I don't remember the brand offhand. One of the problems I had was bubbling at the surface. They supposedly have another resin that's not as susceptible to the moisture in the air which apparently is the cause of the bubbles.

Doesn't look available:

Grevously our website www.freediveshop.nl / www.immersion.nu is temporarily unavailable. Currently we are working hard on a completely new website with even more information about freediving, freediving equipment and all possible "underwater-courses"

and on the "old site"....

Re: Save yourself money on a Paradisia Noseclip

The freediveshop.nl store is dead now, but I am looking forward to see it working (hopefully soon) - so far there are not too many freediving online stores, and those existing have usually very limited choice.

Yasemin Dalkiliç uses to have Paradise noseclips in her online store too, but I just verifed and they are currently out of stock . The noseclip costs $60 there. Or together with fluid goggles for $225.
