Re: Nose Clip's

Bernard is a very gentle an nice man. I ´was unable to order a clip here in Sweden so when i went down to wisit my girlfriensd sisten in Menton in France i asked her if sh could phone Bernard an ask him where i could get a clip. He asked if we meet and how manny clips i needed (i only wanted one). So we aranged a meeting and i cot a clip. Then he asked mee if i was in too freediving and if we could go out to dive. The deepesr i made in CW erlier was only 10m but it was ok for him so after that my pb was 15,8m. He make the clips in sparetime so now i understand why they get out of stock som time.
I think he is a wery nice person and i hope to see him again.

Ola

Re: Nose Clip's

The best is using the above posted link to the store Au Vieux Plongeur. They often use to ship abroad and are in direct contact with Bernard, so in case they are low in stock, they'll get more from him.

Re: Nose Clip's

I just ordered one from the link trux gives. Very easy with the help of a French to English dictionary. Cost me $47 Euro with about half the cost being postage to little out in the middle of the ocean New Zealand.
Why not license the manufacture of this product to different people in countries far removed from France? There is obviously the demand.

Re: Nose Clip's

My noseclip arrived today. I only ordered it just over a week ago so I would call that excellent and very speedy service.
What a great little piece of engineering it is too. Well done Bernard. Well done Au Vieux Plongeur.

Re: Nose Clip's

Cheers.

Also; Which of the Aquashpere, Speedo, Eyeline and other 'swim' brand nose clips have you guys found to be reasonable?

I know they are weak, but for $5 they are worth a shot.

Re: Nose Clip's

I've used a couple of swim clips (TYR and Speedo) for pool training, but they truly suck. I can't imagine trying to do anything remotely technical with one. My FIT clip should be in the mail soon.

Re: Nose Clip's

Hello Everyone!

Have you guys tried to use a nose clip against a Sphera mask. Is it possible for a decent clip to properly close a nose with a mask put on? I just would like to avoid using swimming googles in a icy cold water because of problems with sinuses. Regular mask protects it from cold a little.
Thanks in advance for any feedback.

Regards,
Wojtek

If you use such a construction you will not be able do equalize your mask and you will get a barotrauma of your eyes. So be carefull.

I don't know, how deep you can dive without equalizing your mask. But I guess it wouldn't be deeper then 5-7 m.
