| CRESSI, GARA 3000 LD vs BEUCHAT, MUNDIAL SPORT Hi guys I am new to the forum. I am about to buy some freediving equipment. I am sure of the masks I am buying but the fins I can't decide upon? The Beuchat mundial sport is about $30 cheaper than the cressi gara 3000 LD but I don't care about that. I am trying to get a soft fin for swimming for long amounts of time which has the most performance. Thanks alot for you help |

| Re: CRESSI, GARA 3000 LD vs BEUCHAT, MUNDIAL SPORT If you have the possibility, try both fins on before buying. The comfort of the footpocket plays a big role, it's essential for diving for several hours straight. But if you buy online, I'd recommend the 3000LDs - sounds exactly what you need.

| Re: CRESSI, GARA 3000 LD vs BEUCHAT, MUNDIAL SPORT I'm a new free diver and have a set of the Gara 3000 LDs. I really like them. Very versatile fin--they will work better than other fins on the the surface and still move you pretty quickly. I wear a size 10.5 us shoe and have some of the 44-45 fins. They are too big to wear with out booties-- ahttp://oneill.com/mens-products.php?sport=surf&categoryID=-1&typeID=7&seriesID=10&id=52djust accordingly. I wear some of these in them. |

| Re: CRESSI, GARA 3000 LD vs BEUCHAT, MUNDIAL SPORT I am ordering of scubastore.com. I will order the Gara 3000 LDs and see how they work out.. I actually have size "14" US shoe size for my feet!! So I will see if even the largest fin fites. If it does fite I will order a sock. |

| Re: CRESSI, GARA 3000 LD vs BEUCHAT, MUNDIAL SPORT if you have wide feet dont get the cressi, its a great fin but if the footpocket isnt right for you, it will give you pain and you wont like it...

| Re: CRESSI, GARA 3000 LD vs BEUCHAT, MUNDIAL SPORT I wear a size 13/14 in a US shoe, too. A perfect fit is a Euro 47. I have the Gara 3000LD's 46/47 and would recommend a 2 mm booty. I have 3mm booties and my feet start to kill me after a while. The fins are nice with just a thin sock, but if you wear fin keepers then a neoprene booty is a must, IMHO. The Riffe 2mm booties with rubber soles look nice but I can't find them on American websites at all. Only the UK and Australia. |

| Re: CRESSI, GARA 3000 LD vs BEUCHAT, MUNDIAL SPORT i just received a new pair of 3000LD from Scubastore (great service) an they seem veeerrryyy soft. I know they are the soft 3000 version (long distance) but they seem too soft. If you have medium to strong legs you could go for a stiffer fin like the regular 3000's o Imersion Blacks. |

| Re: CRESSI, GARA 3000 LD vs BEUCHAT, MUNDIAL SPORT I think it really depends on how deep and how far you want to go. I go out with the 3000LD for 2-4 hours at a time and by the time I'm done (spearfishing) my legs are killing me. I'm young, 24, and do a lot of scuba diving as well as cycling and weight lifting and go spearfishing as often as possible. If you're shooting for the under 25 meter range then these fins are just fine. If you're shooting for more than 25 and have strong legs then try another fin. I've never used the 3000HF or the 2000, so I don't know how they compare, but from what I've read the rank from soft to hard is 3000LD, 2000, 3000HF. I heard that the 2000 has a foot pocket that is too soft, that's why I didn't get those. Old design. |
