| Mask to Snorkel Clips - alternatives Kinda minuscule item I know, but one that bothers me a little. I tried the dumb little clip things that are supplied, but they always twist things the wrong way. Fast ascents make for a nasty tugging as well. I now use the snorkel by itself, or under the mask strap, but I'm sure I'll loose it any day now (rough water entry/ exits at my spot). How about a short flexible tether, about 3 inches long? Any cool ideas out there.. THANKS |

| Re: Mask to Snorkel Clips - alternatives Well Ive come across a few maybe not so cool but kinda practical ideas... Use a cable tie to tie the snorkel to the mask, some folks also use a plain old rubber band. What could work nicely though is a short peice of bungee with 2 rubber o rings to the ends, one around the snorkel the other on the mask strap

| Re: Mask to Snorkel Clips - alternatives Those hair thingees (pony tail bands?) that you find all over the place work great as tiny bungee cords. Just cut it to the size you need. Use them on the mask. float and dive bag to hold snorkels, noseclips, mask and keys.

| Re: Mask to Snorkel Clips - alternatives Bill is onto it. Imaging you are wearing your mask, slip the hair elastic in behind the strap. Grab both ends of the elastic, pull them around the front of the strap, and slip your snorkel up through the loops.

| Re: Mask to Snorkel Clips - alternatives If you twist one of the ends 180 degrees it doesn't slip around as much.

| Re: Mask to Snorkel Clips - alternatives I use a silicon snorkel keeper, but not the way they planned on. I took the mask strap off and passed one loop of the snorkel keeper through it, then put the strap back on the mask. I stick the snorkel through the same loop. it holds the snorkel in a really comfortable location for me. If you wanted more freedom for the snorkel, pass it through the other loop. Howard |
