Being a custom suit kinda guy at 6'1" 165lbs I took a chance ordering an Omer camo 3mil off-the-shelf from Jim. The suit arrived very promptly after my Saturday am dive. I was geeked about trying it out the next morning and happy it arrived in time for an interview with a reporter I was doing on Monday.
Mark L suggested I order a 3L, but after talking with Jim I decided to chance a 4L. I was not completely optimistic after trying the top on - but then I remembered it's a farmer-john. The suit is a little loose in the upper arms and thighs, but a good fit across the torso. After at least a couple of hours monofinning with surface temps of 70F I was quite comfortable. What little chill I got vanished as soon as I got back into shallow water (after 2 hours my body was at just about the right level of coolness for optimal breath-holds). Maybe because the suit is so thin it seemed to really glomb onto me in the water - the only time I felt water changing in it was when I climbed out onto some rocks for a few minutes, then got back in. I like the cut of the hood around my face on these Omer suits, not to mention the bitchin' camo scheme. Next day I went in with a reporter who wanted to do an article on freediving. I advised her to try it if she was going to write about it and provided my daughter's 3 mil suit, fins, mask etc. She went for it and took the pictures of me below. Surface was 68f with a 64f thermalcline. Again; really comfortable the whole time. I consider 3 mil suits generally good down to around 65F surface temp. This one seems spot on for that, and very well put together.I was really surprised I didn't get any leakage while monofinning. Thanks to Jim for his help ruminating over sizes, and for his very fast service! Definitely my new dive shop of choice! He'll have his site back up soon and I highly recommend doing biz with him. Thanks also to Omer for designing really innovative kit - and to Mark Labocetta for outstanding support of customers and retailers. ![]() ![]()

Chris,
Both pics are great, but that bottom pic shows that "you got it going on"! The suit, weight vest, D3, arm mounted Laser knife, Atoll float, Cressi fin, Bat fins, etc. (the 25% navy seal part showing through I'm thinking a nice drive down to Florida to freedive with Colin and me may be in order, and if you get hungry I will introduce you to Chad Palan so we can help him fill his boat with fish! that's a Shardana - my daughter uses an Atoll
I'm using a Waterway Nemo lately, I love my ice fins but the mono rocks the bay! My mask is a Technisub Marina and snork the trusty impulse 2. Pretty much the rest is Omer. I replaced the flag on the Omer with one that meets the legal standards here in Michigan. After a few years of year-round diving (I've had it flip over from ice and wind!) in blizzards, hot sun, rough water and rocks the Shardana has a nicely broken in look. Some florida diving would be awesome! FYI - I put a wide elastic/velcro band on the mini-laser - big improvement and highly recommended.

PM Jimdoe2you - he'll get you one.
When I got mine it was the only color. From what I can see on the omer site they've got to more of a blend between the green and ocean.
