Care for a mirrored lense mask?

Just wondering if there is any special care needed for a mirrored lense mask? I got mine about a week ago and have used it once in the ocean and 3 times in the pool and the reflective coating is scuffed in a few spots. I have rinsed it after every use and put it back in the plastic box so i have no idea why it's happened. Is this normal?
