Mask review requested: Beuchat Micromax vs. Aqualung-Technisub Micromask

hello wise db collective,

i am looking at getting a new mask this season. although there have been quite a few posts/pics of the (aquasub) technica micromask to date, i can't find much on the beuchat micromax.

anyone owning a micromax, perhaps you could take/share some close-up photos? and even a review, would be great!

for example, how does it compare with the micromask? as far as field of view? internal volume? fit? comfort?

a very knowledgable source informs me that both these masks are from the same subcontracted manufacturors and are nearly identical; however, one difference thus far is the price, which is $50 for the micromax versus $80 for the micromask (approx).

links to the manufacturers' respective masks:

Beuchat International

Micromask

seeing as no diveshops carry freedive gear around here, i rely upon the collective experiences of you folks for the latest intel.

cheers and thanks for any input,

sean

I have the micromask and have used the beuchat micromax, as long as it fit's your face, you won't find a better mask than the technisub one. It has a great field of vision and it's super low volume, the beuchat is alright, but its a little less on the sides and the downward vision is less also.

I haven't tried the beuchat, but I have the technisub and am amazed at the low volume. I also dive the Atomic single lens which is like wearing silk. Very low volume, HUGE viewing area, and the skirt is so incredibly soft I forget I'm wearing it.
