Re: Stop shivering and get cold! (especially for Naiad)

fonduset,
yes, a real beauty of a photo!

eric,
thanks again for your observations and suggestions.

pete,
thanks for translating eric's superhuman dives into digestable bits for the rest of us mere mortals to understand.

---

the only thing i might add is glycerol is more commonly known as glycerine, if anyone is looking to buy it.

cheers,
sean

Chris,

Your photo looks totally fake! I know it's real, but that doesn't change that it looks too perfect.

Re: Stop shivering and get cold! (especially for Naiad)

Thanks Eric,

I spent alot of time getting the paint-job right on those plastic trout. You don't think the back drop looks too fakey do you? The lighting in my basement is a little weird. (truth be told - the website messes with the colors a little - they look better in prints or on my laptop.)

Re: Stop shivering and get cold! (especially for Naiad)

There was mention of seals in this thread somewhere so i'd thought i'd slip in the video taken of one of our Scubies whilst in the Farnes this year... its holding its breath so the freediver forum is as good as anywhere.

I'm going to organise a Freedive trip there next year for sure, they are really cute, October is a good time as vis gets better and the seal pups are a bit older so will play out and mum and dad are less protective. Weather is the only issue so just make sure you are aware of the nearest public house...

Re: Stop shivering and get cold! (especially for Naiad)

Bloody typical - we grab onto a seal or dolphin and they take us for a ride, but when the seal wants to go for a ride, noooo, scuby is too lazy

Seriously that is one of the cutest things i've seen. What is it trying to do? And where are the Farnes Steve?

Re: Stop shivering and get cold! (especially for Naiad)

I found most of the primary protocol at nutricology.com - they have a product called 'dietplex' that contains most all of them - but in relatively small amounts. I'm going to get that and supplement it where it falls short.

Erm (as you Brits say).... I think the little guy's trying to hump scoobie's leg!
From the front and the back, no less.

Thought you all should know.

Cunning observation, Laminar. I've noticed my breathholds increase exponentially when I hump scuba divers.

Re: Stop shivering and get cold! (especially for Naiad)

i have an extra bottle of MTC oil (medium chain triglyceride).

anyone in the vancouver area who wants it send me a pm. i recieved two bottles about a month ago but realize now that one is plenty. i will happily sell it to you for what i paid, thus you save shipping costs from the states (it is unopened and sealed of course).

Bodybuilding.com - SciFit Pure MCT Oil - 100% Pure! On sale now!

Bodybuilding.com - MCT Information and Product Listing! MCT FAQ!

this stuff makes a great pre-dive energy source on its own, whether combined with the rest of the thermogenic supplement protocol or not. i find it easy to ingest, compared to flax oil anyway, because it has almost taste.

cheers,
sean

Re: Stop shivering and get cold! (especially for Naiad)

PHP Code:
Seriously that is one of the cutest things i've seen. What is it trying to do? And where are the Farnes Steve?
From your house head oooop North, get to the wall Hadrian built to keep out the scots, do a right towards the East coast and stop just before your feet get wet.

The place is near Seahouses, its the Farne islands. Most dives are about 15-20m but there is a wreck called the Somali at 30m which is excellent, as good as anything i've done when the conditions are good. Trip next year? I'll have a chat on Sunday, see ya. (we can talk about the birds and bees too ;-) )

Re: Stop shivering and get cold! (especially for Naiad)

Geez I left myself open on that one didn't I?

Don't know why but I though seals liked it a bit rougher than that. Don't know where I picked that up though. Actually let's just drop the whole thing...
