Re: Freediving on YouTube

No question both divers went through the Arch, but Im gonna go out on a limb here and say that that mite even be two different divers. There seems to be slight differences in style and movement going out the arch on the ascent where both divers or dives were taken from the same angle. Either that or shes using a stiffer fin when filmed wearing the striped suit

PS: Im gald that it seems some differences were settled last night...

Re: Freediving on YouTube

NICE VIDEO Gwaihir! Especially for doing it all one handed! I see you've built your own camera housing...I've been thinking of making one out of an old military ammunition box for my digital video recorder...I'd have to turn it on and just film 'til the tape was done or the battery died and then edit later. But that would be fine for me...There is a forum about "do it yourself" stuff and I believe home made camera housings are on thier too! Please share your plans with us if you can! I'd surely be interested!

If I ever get to Skiathos I'm gonna build myself a really small speargun from a pencil, paper clips, and a rubber band before I go!!!

Where is Skiathos anyway? Greece?

And are their any BIG fish around that area - or mostly just small ones?

Thanks for sharing your video!

Very cool video, the first soundtrack makes it sound very James Bondy

This is very cool - a mate of mine having a go at the least amount of strokes on a Dynamic No-Fins 25m lap:

Re: Freediving on YouTube

good video Benny, incredible. I tried that with my dive club in the pool, my best was 12 strokes, appalling! The best from a buddy on that night was 3 or 4 I think..

The secret is to wear tons of weight, pack lots and preferably be well over 6 foot!

Great video, but the footage which is labelled Nitch Unassisted - that is definitely not Herbert doing his CNF dive... It should be spelled Nitsch, and actually it's somebody else diving . But you have one of the best soundtracks on a freedive video I've seen

Amazing! How tall is the guy exactly and what's his shoe size, Benny? Also - what's his name, if that's not confidential
