Re: Walleye World!

I like that one too. That is an amazing area. It goes from just over 1 meter to 12-13 in a very short distance - with a beautiful sand bottom. Visibility there was approaching 30 meters.

Re: Walleye World!

Honorable mention for these guys - not as tasty - but allows lounging in the same area - generally right around 50 ft.

Re: Walleye World!

Around here the DNR drives big, Dark forest green awd pickups with brush bumpers, an antenna farm and a stealth crest on the door. Inside is a semi-auto version of the C8 carbine locked to the dash and every conceivable communication device. They are the most bad-ass law enforcement unit in the state. I suspect their mostly ex special ops guys who were too mean for that job.

Of course they don't really start lookin' till june

that shot was from inside 18 inches with the wide angle. I glided within 15 feet, then crawled the rest of the way - sticking the camera out ahead of the silt cloud with one hand.

Riffe MT0 - same size as my float

I figure I can wrap the pikes mouth around my neck and pretend it attacked me.

or start sobbing and say it was rough sex...

Re: Walleye World!

Old thread but beautiful (february sucks as a month and we need beauty more than ever now).
Fond, haven't you got any Perch pics? I had and intense, emotional dream of Perch last night and when I woke up I was all wet!

Re: Walleye World!

The bay is frozen!!! ARGH!!!
I've been doing increasingly aggressive monofin sprints at the pool several times a week. I've been trying to do 50 meter sprints in the fast lanes at the same pace as the surface swimmers - including breatheups.

Heres pretty much what I've got of perch.

I have very few really good shots of yellow perch. there are places where they congregate at certain times - and fisherman routinely catch them up to 15 inches. I hope to find out where sometime this spring and get out there.

Thats a beauty, Rene!
Just a lot of pool time here - the bay is totally socked in with thick ice.
